Only the cookies needed to run the site are on by default.
Analytics are used only if you say yes.
We use no advertising cookies at all.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They let a site remember that you are signed in, keep your settings, and understand how its pages are used. Apps use similar technologies, such as local storage and device identifiers.
Where we use them
- parentaline.com uses cookies as described in the table below.
- The Parentaline app does not use browser cookies. It uses secure local storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences, a device token to deliver notifications, and crash reporting to fix problems.
The cookies we use
| Category | What it does | How long | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in, protects forms from abuse, balances traffic and remembers your cookie choice. | Session – 12 months | Always on |
| Preferences | Remembers your language, text size and light or dark theme. | 12 months | On · can turn off |
| Analytics | Counts visits and shows which pages help people, in aggregate. Never linked to health data. | Up to 13 months | Off until you agree |
| Advertising | We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. | — | Not used |
Third parties
Some cookies are set by providers that run parts of the site for us — hosting, security and, if you allow it, analytics. They may use this data only to provide their service to Parentaline. We do not allow advertising networks on our site. The current list of providers is available from [privacy@parentaline.com].
Your choices
- On the website — choose on your first visit, and change your mind at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
- In your browser — you can block or delete cookies in settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop sign-in from working.
- In the app — turn off usage analytics under Profile → Privacy, and manage notifications in your phone’s settings.
Browser privacy signals
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal of analytics cookies, with no need to use the banner.
Changes and contact
If we add a new kind of cookie, we will update this page and ask for your consent again where it is needed. For how we handle personal data more broadly, see the Privacy Policy. Questions: [privacy@parentaline.com].
