Parentaline is a care companion — not a doctor, and not an ambulance.
Use it honestly, and only with your parent’s knowledge.
In an emergency, always call 112 first.
Indian law applies to these terms.
Accepting these terms
These Terms are an agreement between you and [Legal entity name] (“Parentaline”). By using parentaline.com or the Parentaline app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
They work together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you create an account, the User Agreement also applies and takes precedence on account-specific matters.
The service
Parentaline is an AI-assisted family-care companion. It places check-in calls to seniors, sends medicine reminders, escalates missed doses and SOS alerts to family members, checks suspicious messages and stores health records. The features available depend on your plan and may change as we improve the service.
Not a medical or emergency service
In a medical emergency, call 112 or go to the nearest hospital. Do not rely on Parentaline.
Parentaline does not give medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not a substitute for a doctor. Call summaries, mood indicators and medicines read from scanned prescriptions are generated automatically and may be wrong.
SOS alerts notify the family members you have added. They do not contact the police, an ambulance or a hospital. Calls, SMS and notifications depend on mobile networks and devices, and may fail or be delayed.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- set up calls or monitoring for someone without their knowledge and agreement;
- use the service to harass, deceive, threaten or harm anyone;
- upload content that is unlawful or that you have no right to share;
- reverse engineer, scrape, overload or interfere with the service or its security;
- impersonate another person, or misrepresent your relationship to a senior.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you upload — prescriptions, reports, photos and notes. You give Parentaline a limited licence to store, process and display that content only to provide the service to you and your family, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Our intellectual property
The Parentaline name, logo, app, voice experience, software and website content belong to Parentaline or its licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service for its intended purpose.
Third-party services
Parts of the service rely on telecom operators, app stores and payment providers. Their own terms apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for their availability or conduct.
Disclaimers
We work hard to keep Parentaline reliable, but the service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that automated outputs will be accurate or complete.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Parentaline is not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
You agree to compensate Parentaline for losses caused by your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the service.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using Parentaline at any time. We may suspend or end access if these Terms are seriously breached, to protect a senior’s safety, or where the law requires it. Where we reasonably can, we will warn you first and give you time to export your data.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to your rights as a consumer, the courts at [Bengaluru] have jurisdiction over any dispute.
Changes and contact
We will give notice in the app or by email before material changes take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
